Vampires don't exist...do they? Inez Urso is beginning to have her doubts. Her business associate Thomas Argeneau has some interesting traits, like an allergic reaction to the sun, excellent night vision, and not much of an appetite for food. And to top it all off, he just tried to bite her neck...but maybe that was a sign of passion. If so, she'd be happy to experience more, despite her determination not to mix business with pleasure. He's been waiting forever for a woman like her....
Well, if not forever, at least 200 years. Inez is the most beautiful woman he's seen in centuries. Those luscious lips, seductive curves, and her elegant neck...he just couldn't resist the temptation of one little bite. Now Thomas will do anything to convince her that only an immortal like him can satisfy her all night long.
Vampires Are Forever Argeneau Vampires Book 8 (Audible Audio Edition) Lynsay Sands Rick Robertson HarperAudio Books
This book is about Thomas finding his lifemate. Thomas has been mentioned in nearly every book since the 1st one in this series.Thomas was asked by Bastien to travel to England to see if he could track down Marguerite (Thomas' aunt/mother & Bastien's mother) as they can't get ahold of her by phone; especially to let her know about her new granddaughter.
Inez works for the Argeneau's in their London office & was asked by Bastien to pick Thomas up from the airport & help him with the investigation of finding Marguerite. & when she finally gets to the airport he doesn't see her even though she sees him & tries to get his attention before he gets into a cab. However, she doesn't succeed & follows him to the hotel where he's staying & give him what for in both English & Portuguese (which Thomas doesn't understand at least the Portuguese part).
That starts the beginning of their relationship in which after he bit her & then couldn't read her mind to wipe the memory of that bite.
This book contains lots of sex scenes, a good vs bad plot as some other immortal keep taking control of Inez in order to wipe her memory & then later tried to kill her a couple of times, some of the couples from the other books in this series & lots of traveling.
This book was very good & there were some parts of it that I remember from the last time (a very long time ago) I had read this book.

Vampires Are Forever Argeneau Vampires Book 8 (Audible Audio Edition) Lynsay Sands Rick Robertson HarperAudio Books Reviews
I'm an avid Argeneau fan; therefore, I can't seem to rate anything less than 4 stars. First, the title sounds ridiculous. "Vampires are Forever" sounds like something a twelve year-old would purchase hoping it was another Twilight, Bella and Edward, love story. Second, I HATED how Thomas and Inez are not drawn as described in the story. I don't think the male figure is attractive at all with his 1990's greasy, wet, "Jeri curl" mullet. Inez is suppose to be Portugese with dark, frizzy, fluffy, curly hair. She's also suppose to be a little bit plump, but her arms and neck makes her appear somewhat in-fit. Her hair also looks like it's blonde. Besides all that, they need to get rid of the bat tattoos; it looks extremely corny. I was not too interested or in love with Thomas' story because I never liked him too much from the beginning (I found his 1990's California surfer boy attitude annoying....like Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure). While I liked Inez, she had quite a bit of self-esteem issues. However, I appreciated how strong-willed and ambitious Inez was. I realized that Sands seems to think that beautiful applies to EXTREMELY tall people (5'10 - females and 6'5 for males). Most people in the real world (besides modeling) are not that tall. At the end, Thomas gets a bit too mushy and sappy regarding Inez being used as a bait in Bastien's plan. On the contrary, the storyline was a good one paralleling itself to/for the next book, Marguerite's Vampire Interrupted. If you like/love the Argeneau story, don't skip out on this book just because of my review. It all ties together, and it's still great.
Another Argeneau has found their lifemate. And it's another mortal. I'm only aware of 3 who found immortal lifemates (you can't count Lucian's Leigh), they are Marguerite, Armand and Victor. Having the Nanos would be great, healthy, no weight issues, etc., I'm not sure about the living forever and drinking blood issue. Well every situation has its issues.
Loved this book! Love this series. I am happy when I am able to grab up one of these books. Each book from the series can be read on its own.
This one was full of mystery! Tracking down a missing person.
Thomas and Inez tried to figure out this lifemate business as well as a missing person case! The chemistry was great!
Some of the story was wrapped up, but it was still a cliffhanger. I need to find the next in the series so I can find out what happens. yes, I know I just said you can read each without the others!!!!! This is no different- it does have a semi happy ever after. Just a little question left unanswered, and its gonna bother me. LOL
This is my favorite of the Argeneau series, I loved the dynamics between the main characters, Inez and Thomas. It was the classic miss-understanding and then trying to accept what is really there and not what one thought was there. I find the plot line a attracted, yet uncomfortable with that attraction, to be more entertaining to read than boom, they were attracted to each other with no reservations. Plus Lynsay Sands has a wonderful way of creating characters out of these awkward situations that are complex and interesting. Many of the characters begin to seem familiar, whether you see a portion of yourself in the character or someone you know.
The relationship between Inez and Thomas is the classic miss-understanding at first meeting. Despite the humor that in involved in their meeting and the discovery that Thomas isn't exactly human, I find that Inez, the main female character, to be the reason I return to the book again and again. Maybe it is her self consciousness, that she is insecure about herself (but not in the work place, she takes no prisoners), or that she isn't afraid to voice her opinions, even she is in unsure (yes, she is an interesting contradiction).
While I have read the majority of the series, this was the first book I read of the series, and my favorite of the Argeneau series.
I like all of her books so far. This series is really good always can’t wait to the next one comes out takes too long most of the time but I can’t wait. And this one Thomas finally gets his life mate and she works for their business as one of the VPs in England. When he sent over to look for his aunt who has come up missing he meets her that he doesn’t realize she’s his life meet until he take some blood from her senses but hadn’t come in and he was getting desperate. The book is good they’re getting together is good this one has a little bit of a different twist to it but it was good.
